First-year Manhattan College Volleyball Head Coach Jolie Ward has announced the team’s schedule for the upcoming fall 2008 season, a schedule that includes a trip cross-town to the Fordham Invitational where the Lady Jaspers will take on Stony Brook University, host Fordham University and Princeton University. The Lady J’s will kick off their season on the road, heading to Philadelphia on August 29th to take on Temple. Then they quickly head north to West Point for an August 30th match agai -

After a 10-day break, the squad then heads to Long Island on September 9th to take on Stony Brook, who they then face again three days later in the first match at the Fordham Invitational on September 12th. On the 13th of September, at that tournament, the Lady J’s take on Fordham in the morning and then Princeton in the afternoon.

The Lady J’s then come back to the comforts of Draddy Gym for three games September 17 vs. Lafayette College, then September 20th for the conference opener against Fairfield University and September 21 versus conference foe Loyola. On September 24th, the Jaspers then head up to Providence, R.I. to take on non-conference opponent Providence College before returning to conference play in Jersey City, N.J. at Saint Peter’s College on September 27 and at three-time MAAC conference champ Siena College in Loudonville, N.Y. on September 28.

Stopping home on October 4 to host Marist College at Draddy Gym, the Lady J’s then hit the road for five consecutive games October 5th at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y., October 8th at non-conference opponent Fairleigh Dickinson in Teaneck, N.J., October 11 at Canisius College in Buffalo, October 12 at Ni - agara University in Niagara University, N.Y. and October 18th vs. Marist in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Stopping home again for a one-game stand, the volleyball squad takes on Siena on October 19th before hitting the road one more time for three games October 25th against Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J., October 26 at Loyola in Baltimore and October 28th vs. non-conference foe Hofstra in Uniondale, N.Y.

Then the Lady Jaspers get to finally settle in for five consecutive home matches November 1st versus Iona, November 2nd against Rider, November 8th versus Canisius and then November 15th against Saint Peter’s. Th - e team then closes out its regular season away at Fairfield, Conn. for a November 16th match vs. the Lady Stags.

The 2008 MAAC Championship Tournament will then take place November 22nd and 23rd at Siena.
